Refund policy
Last updated: 25 September 2026
MindLake is a one-off licence, bought after a 14-day free trial, and publishing to the web is an optional monthly plan (Pro). This page covers both. Payments are taken by our reseller Paddle.com, the Merchant of Record for all our orders, and refunds are paid back by Paddle to the card or account you paid with.
30 days, no questions
If MindLake or Pro is not for you, ask within 30 days of paying for the licence, or of your first Pro payment, and you get all of it back. You do not need to give a reason. A refunded licence ends, and the app asks for one again; your notes are ordinary files on your Mac and are never touched.
Renewals
Pro renews automatically until you cancel. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and Pro keeps working until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not refund part of a period you have already started, except where the law requires it. If a renewal went through that you did not mean to keep, tell us within 14 days of it and we will refund it.
Your legal rights
If you are a consumer in the UK or EU you also have a statutory right to cancel within fourteen days, and consumers elsewhere may have similar rights. Nothing in this policy takes away any right the law gives you.
When a plan ends
Nothing on your Mac or iPhone is ever taken away. Your notes stay yours and your licence keeps the app working. Notes you have already published stay published; you simply cannot publish beyond the free allowance until you subscribe again.
How to ask
Use the link in your Paddle receipt, visit paddle.net, or email kyle@goodanalysis.co.uk with the address you paid from. We reply within two working days.
Complaints
If something has gone wrong, email kyle@goodanalysis.co.uk and a person will reply within two working days and aim to resolve it within fourteen. If you are unhappy with how a payment was handled, you can also contact Paddle directly at paddle.net.
